Crane Estate Outdoor Wedding Photography – Ipswich, MA – Becca & Andrew

Becca and Andrew decided to have their outdoor wedding at the Great House on Castle Hill. The Great House is a majestic mansion that sits atop the hill at the Crane Estate in Ipswich, MA. With sweeping views of the ocean and a rolling green backdrop that any photographer would die for, this amazing wedding venue near Boston was one of the most picturesque places we’ve ever documented!  Despite planning their wedding (with a little help from Tracy Kelly with Tangorra Wedding Planning) from their far-away home in San Francisco, CA, these two were as calm as could be on their wedding day.  When a bridesmaid told Becca that she couldn’t believe how relaxed she was, Becca responded with, “Why wouldn’t I be?”.  This was an unprecedented response.  ;)

After their first look photos, we wandered the Crane Estate property behind the Great House in search of the perfect picture backdrops. From the Italian Gardens and historic architecture to hidden “Secret Garden” style spaces, we found an abundance of amazing spots to photograph these two.

Their outdoor ceremony was held on the rolling green lawn behind the Great House on Castle Hill, and guests watched Becca and Andrew say “I do” with a stunning windswept background surrounding them… and a little rumbling of thunder for dramatic effect.  :)  Luckily, everyone made it inside before a pop-up rainstorm unleashed a downpour outside!  We had such a wonderful time documenting this lovely wedding… congrats to Becca and Andrew!
