Barn at Liberty Farms wedding in upstate Hudson, NY

Catie and Bill’s Barn at Liberty Farms wedding took our breath away! This was our first time at this gorgeous wedding venue nestled in the Hudson Valley and we are so happy to add this our list of favorite places to document weddings in upstate NY! We loved that the reception barn is actually a converted horse barn with a rustic, yet modern style. The owners even kept the horse stalls and gates in tact, which guests seemed to love!

Although Catie and Bill have been together for a while, they seemed like they fell in love yesterday. We found some beautiful places for bride and groom portraits in the old horse pastures. One of our favorite things about this wedding was watching the unique catering company Fire Roasted do their work. All of the food was cooked over fire, from the rotisserie chickens to the doughnut desserts! It was incredible! We first came across this unique wedding venue last year. We were so excited to discover how close it is to our home base in western MA! Thanks to Angela with Elite Wedding Planning and seamless coordination from the venue, our first wedding here went so smoothly! Catie wore a stunning embroidered wedding dress and lace shrug by Rebecca Schoneveld and we loved Bill’s stylish blue paisley jacket. Simple rustic table decor with glass jugs and twinkle lights really let the natural beauty of the reception barn shine.

Catie and Bill had their wedding ceremony outside in the field just down the road. Their handwritten vows had everyone downright sobbing! After their ceremony, guests were invited back to the barn to enjoy treats like mussels and fries, charcuterie, and moscow mules! Most of the wedding guests, like Catie and Bill, were from Brooklyn, NY. We couldn’t stop snapping photos of all of the amazing fashion at this cocktail hour!
