Backyard Manchester by the Sea Wedding on the North Shore of MA

We feel so lucky that Emily and Josh wanted us to document their romantic Manchester by the Sea wedding. When Emily first reached out to us over a year ago, it was immediately obvious that we would be a wonderful fit! After a misty engagement session at the Coolidge Reservation, we were smitten with this happy couple. We have counted down the days to their backyard wedding on the north shore of MA!

After a first look near the Singing Beach, the wedding party was happy to hang out next to the pier for more pictures. We loved the bridesmaids outfits of beige BHLDN Lydia lace skirts paired with simple white camisoles. The north shore of Massachusetts is one of our favorite coastal locations for weddings. In addition to the epic scenery and natural beauty, there is something about these towns that feels comfortable. The local coffee shops make you feel like a regular and folks walking on the sidewalk always seem so happy and outgoing!

Josh grew up in Manchester by the Sea, so this place has lots of sentimental value. He and Emily were so lucky that Josh’s boss offered his backyard as a location for the wedding. With rustic chalkboard signs around the backyard and a sailcloth tent for the reception, these two turned this spot into something magical.

We were so grateful to Melissa with Twin Lights Wedding Design who did a wonderful job coordinating the day. Everything went so smoothly, and she was a joy to work with! Congrats to Josh and Emily, we were honored to document your day!
