Torrey and Dicken’s rustic chic wedding in Stowe, VT was filled with beautiful light, stunning pastoral vistas, and picture-perfect details, but woven throughout every moment of the day was the importance of family in Torrey and Dicken’s lives. It was clear that these two valued their parents and siblings, and went above and beyond to include them and honor those relationships throughout the day.
Torrey, who has grown up on the East Coast met Dicken, who is from England, at Williams College and the blend of cultures at this wedding was so fun to document! A family friend, who owns Clare Frances Events, designed and decorated the sailcloth wedding tent using a variety of rustic chic elements. Using natural linen table runners and hunks of fresh moss, the farm dinner tables took on a very grounding earthy feel.
Some of our favorite things about this wedding included having a head table made up of immediate family, hilarious and creative parent dances with the amazing Night Shift wedding band, and toasts that had us cracking up behind our lenses–with topics from crossdressing to over the top hazing of Dicken. We had a lovely time photographing this enchanting wedding, and wish Torrey and Dicken the best of luck in all of their adventures to come!
