Abby and Dillon’s October State Room wedding in downtown Boston was epic! We have always heard rave reviews about this venue, and it’s nearly 360 degree views of Boston and the harbor did not disappoint. From the bride and groom portraits in Christopher Columbus Park to the nonstop dance floor, this fall wedding in Boston was perfect in every way. So, before I get to the wedding details, I have to share that I’ve known Abby since she was around 6 years old. She is my best friend’s cousin’s daughter (second cousin? first cousin once removed? I can’t ever remember this one!), and Abby has grown up knowing about our photography company. Her mom joked, “Abby knew she wanted you to be the photographers before she had a groom!”.  We were so honored to document Abby and Dillon’s wedding day, and at the same time celebrate with a family we’ve grown to love!

Abby and Dillon prepared for the day at the Marriott Long Wharf hotel right on the Boston Harbor. We loved this location because it was literally steps from Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park–a perfect location for the first look and bridal portraits! After some photos, we headed to the Cathedral of the Holy Cross for the wedding ceremony.

When Abby and Dillon had said their vows and officially tied the knot, everyone headed to the State Room for dinner and dancing! Guests were completely blown away when walking into the reception space on the 33rd floor of the 60 State Street skyscraper building. An entire wall of windows opened up to the Boston Harbor and overlooked the Faneuil Hall. Guests had so much fun snapping photos of the views!

Sounds Buono kept the dance floor smoking hot and I couldn’t take enough fantastic photos of everyone enjoying the night! We wrapped up photos at the end of the night after Abby and Dillon crowd surfed to
