Ahhhhhhh… New York! Documenting Deirdre and John’s big day would have been a blast no matter where they tied the knot, but having the opportunity to spend time with them in their gorgeous brownstone near Park Slope, and then photograph their ceremony and reception in a raw loft space in Brooklyn was amazing! They rented the Invisible Dog art center, which has a stunning loft on the third floor. After draping the rafters with white fabric, and setting the tables with elegant live orchids, they transformed the loft into a modern style romantic space. With speeches that referred to John as a “lady killer”, a first dance with a punk rock soundtrack, and incorporating their adorable Bassett Hound Baxter into their day, this wedding was full of surprises that had us smiling until the very end. Thanks to Deirdre and John who trusted us from the beginning to use our artistic vision and document the countless moments of their day… Guests should check back around March 20th for a link to the full gallery, including photobooth shots!

I’m the grandmother of the Plourde children and have spent many days there and now that the children have grown up and the house is sold, there seems to be a void within me.This happens to all of us grandparents I’m sure.
I know you will enjoy living at 946 President Street as much as my daughter and family did.
Congrats.on the soon to be new little one.
P.S. I love the dog.
johnOur wedding is on Aug. 14th 2011 @ 11am in Lindenhurst, NY (Long Island) on the water at a place called Chateau La Mer. Just under 200 guests.
We are looking for vintage style photography, mostly candid, but it would be fun to have some bizarre scene set-up shots. When I think of our wedding I would like to it be remembered as fun but a scene from the Guilded Age – think sailing and jazz in Newport, RI during the 1900’s -1920’s
Let me know your rates, possible ideas and how the final delivery of images will be produced.
