Mystic, CT – Aquarium Wedding Photography – Lara & Steve

So first, can I just tell you how difficult it is to tell a group of people, “Just look right here… Ignore that beautiful beluga whale swimming behind you!”.  I mean really, who doesn’t want to turn around and see such an amazing creature inches away!  It’s like telling a five-year-old that Minnie Mouse is standing right behind you with a huge piece of chocolate cake with your name on it but… DON’T TURN AROUND!  :)

Lara and Steve’s Mystic Aquarium wedding was nothing short of amazing.  Tying the knot in an underwater world had a magical feeling to it that I’d imagine would be tough to replicate anywhere else.  After getting ready at the Mystic Marriott, Lara headed to the aquarium to meet Steve.  We found so many amazing spots for portraits, and with jellyfish, sea horses, and Juno the famous beluga whale, it was one of the most unique wedding portrait shoots we’ve done!  Lara and Steve also incorporated lots of modern romantic DIY details into the day… and kept with the underwater sea creature theme by designating tables with various underwater animal sketches!  The dancing got pretty wild toward the end, which I of course, LOVED.  (I have an obsession with dancing photos mirrored only by my obsession with playing grand pianos)  Lara and Steve also had an off the hook photobooth… that post should be up this week too, so check back.  :)

Sit back, grab a cup of coffee or hot chocolate and enjoy all of the underwater goodness that an aquarium wedding has to offer…
