When Tracy and Spencer reached out to us about photographing their summer wedding at the Willowdale Estate, we jumped for joy! This romantic venue in Topsfield, MA has been on our wishlist for…EVER!

The Willowdale Estate feels like it could’ve been a part of the shire in the Lord of the Rings. The old stone architecture and lush gardens surrounding the estate make the perfect photo backdrop.

Although this venue is just 30 miles from Boston, it is surrounded by over 700 acres of woodland forests and shares a border with the picturesque Ipswich River. Couples getting married here between May and October have access to the entire mansion and the large Sperry sailcloth tent for outdoor receptions.

We loved how Tracy and Spencer included their cultural history in the wedding day. Both Tracy and Spencer changed into traditional Chinese wedding clothes and performed a Chinese tea ceremony for their parents during the reception. Little details like this really add a personal touch to the wedding day, and are always so much fun to document!
