Riverside Farm

Riverside Farm is one of the largest barn wedding venues in Vermont. The farm sits inside of 700-acre property nestled in the charming town of Pittsfield in central Vermont. This elegant barn wedding venue provides a variety of ceremony and reception options. Some couples choose to get married in one of Riverside’s six restored barns. Others choose an outdoor ceremony on the rolling green lawn. If you get married outside, you can still use the barns for your reception. It is an expansive venue that can accommodate groups of anywhere from 25 to 600 people.

Given the number of barns and size of the property, there are limitless options for cool places to take pictures. These wedding photos were shot in the woodsy forest behind the rustic Stonewell Barn. Inside of the barns, guests are immediately wooed by the historic post and beam structure. Having a wedding reception inside one of these warm and rustic barns feels like stepping back in time. Couples often have receptions filled with candles and deep jewel toned colors as the theme.

The name says it all here, the barn is literally round, and some say it was built this way so spirits couldn’t hide in corners!. With so many barn wedding venues in Vermont, it’s nice to come across the Round Barn Farm, with its very unique structure.  Located in the north central town of Waitsfield, the barn venue is surrounded by picturesque ponds and scenic mountain overlooks.

Having all of your guests in one place means that no one needs to worry about commuting during the wedding weekend and the party can last a bit longer!

Couples are welcome use both the outdoor property space and the barn on the wedding day. Outdoor ceremonies options include the rustic terrace behind the barn, or in the open field by the pond. If it rains on the wedding day, having the ceremony inside the barn is a perfect back up plan! The barn has a built in dance floor and the round loft space is lovely for dinner and dancing.

Planning a winter wedding? Some couples choose to combine a winter wedding with a ski weekend. This venue is super close to both the Mad River Glen and the Sugarbush Resort. We love the idea of the wedding/ski weekend plan!

outdoor wedding at the equinox pond pavilion

The Equinox

We believe that The Equinox Pond Pavilion in Manchester is one of the best kept secrets in the world of Vermont wedding venues. The Equinox Resort boasts itself as a luxury spa and world class golfing location… but if you look for a narrow footpath behind the resort, it will lead you to this little gem. When we first set eyes on the Pavilion we were instantly reminded of the classic 80’s movie Dirty Dancing!

After an outdoor wedding ceremony with the Green Mountains as a backdrop, the Pond Pavilion offers a screened-in spot for a casual and laid back reception.
