As photographers who’ve worked here many times, here’s what we love most about Moraine Farm and why it’s such a special place for Boston-area weddings.

Woods + English Gardens + Lake = Awesome

Surrounded by woodlands, English gardens, and overlooking Wenham Lake, Moraine Farm’s natural beauty make it a captivating setting for heartfelt wedding celebrations.

The estate is only about 30 minutes from Boston, but once you’re here, it feels like you’re worlds away. It’s quiet and peaceful. We’ve photographed a lot of weddings here and it never stops being one of our favorite venues.

Getting ready at Moraine

The venue offers a comfortable space for getting ready at the estate house. We usually photograph getting ready pictures here before the ceremony or first look.

Abundant natural light pours in through the large windows, creating an ideal setting for stunning getting ready pictures.

Ceremony sites

Moraine has three outdoor ceremony sites on the property. Couples can choose between the great lawn, the tea house, or the back gardens.

Cocktail hour

Cocktail hour on the curved brick patio at Moraine Farm is a relaxed and elegant start to the evening, offering sweeping views of Wenham Lake and the surrounding woodlands. Guests can mingle under the open sky while enjoying seasonal hors d’oeuvres crafted by Fireside Catering and signature drinks from the bar.

Reception

With bistro lighting, a fully floored surface, and stylish Napa Valley cross-back chairs, the tent offers a warm, inviting atmosphere for celebrating with guests. Surrounded by open lawn and woodland views, it’s an ideal space for dinner, toasts, and dancing into the evening.

Photographer’s Perspective on The Estate at Moraine Farm

One of the best parts of this venue is how easy it is. Everything’s right there, all in one place, which means the day flows super smoothly.

Couples can arrive a couple of hours before the ceremony, so we usually have plenty of time for a first look and some relaxed portraits before things get going. That extra bit of breathing room makes a big difference.

We’re always drawn to the gardens, which are in full bloom in early summer. The Tea House is another favorite spot for pictures. And the back patio? It’s kind of perfect for cocktail hour. Guests sipping drinks under the trees with views of the lake, it feels like peak New England.

The reception happens under a big Tidewater tent just beyond the house. It’s cozy and open all at once, with string lights overhead and room for dinner, toasts, and dancing. It always feels a little magical once the sun starts to go down.

“We would highly recommend Dreamlove Photography for anyone looking for a calm and relaxed wedding photography experience!”
