Shelburne Museum Brick House Wedding

Christina and Wes’ wedding at the Shelburne Museum Brick House was amazing! While we’ve right next door for Shelburne Farms weddings at the Coach Barn, this was our first visit to the Brick House and it did not disappoint. With stunning views of the Adirondacks and Green Mountains, Christina and Wes said their vows in the field behind the Brick House. Cocktails followed and Black Diamond BBQ provided some delicious food AND showed off some serious tray skills when a pop up storm blew through the tent! We have photographed lots of weddings with a rain storm here and there, but this was the fastest, most intense storm we’ve ever seen!

More about this Shelburne Museum Brick House wedding:

This was actually our third wedding with Christina’s family and it was so great to catch up and see so many familiar faces! We photographed Christina’s older brother’s Crane Estate wedding in 2017, and her sister’s intimate Stowe Meadows wedding last summer. It’s always such an honor to document multiple weddings for one family!

When Christina and Wes first reached out to us and told us they were getting married at the Brick House at Shelburne Museum, we were super excited. There’s just nothing compared to that view of Lake Champlain surrounded by peaks of blue mountains! This venue also has plenty of space for both members of the couple to get ready for the day, along with larger wedding parties. The Inn at Shelburne Farms is just up the road from the Brick House and provides a great spot for guests to stay overnight if needed.

One of our favorite things about this wedding, (aside from knowing half of the family already!) was getting to see our old friends with The Grift band during the reception! We first met the members of this bluegrass/rock and roll wedding band nearly 8 years ago at a wedding and are always excited to hang with them again! They make AMAZING music, as evidenced by the insane dancing photos above, but they are also just wonderful people and so fun to be around.
