Michele & Philip – Rustic Woodstock Inn Elopement – Woodstock, VT

Ohmygosh… I am so in love with this rustic, vintage wedding elopement ceremony at the Woodstock Inn in VT.  Michele contacted us a few weeks ago raving about her love of ethereal, hazy photography, and I’m so glad we were available to document her elopement with Philip! This was the most stress-free exchange of “I do’s” I’ve ever seen. ;)  Michele got ready at the sun-drenched Woodstock Inn, and despite the eloping status, her best friend insisted that she be there to witness Michele’s wedding day. So sweet!! Michele wore a gorgeous vintage-style lace dress and a stunning bohemian feather and lace bridal headband.

We lucked out for this spring ceremony with perfect weather, and even took a horse-drawn carriage ride with Kedron Valley Stables near the Quechee Springs area of Woodstock. Michele actually owns her own horses, so taking a carriage ride seemed like the perfect activity for the day. There is something so special about Vermont, with it’s rustic barns and rich history. Our carriage driver told us that he is a seventh generation Woodstock, Vermonter! Crazy! Michele brought an adorable pair of blue teal wellie rain boots on the ride so we could romp in the fields and take fun pictures. After the carriage ride, Michele and Philip met with a Justice of the Peace under the historic covered bridge in downtown Woodstock to say their vows and exchange rings. There was so much sparkle in each of their eyes… it was an honor to document this incredibly poignant moment in their lives. Congrats to both of you!
