Rustic Summer Camp Wedding in NH – Mackenzie & Steve
Mackenzie and Steve’s rustic summer wedding at the Bluewater Farm in Andover, NH felt like stepping back in time to an old New England camp… complete with the pine wood cabins and paddle boats on the lake. These two had the perfect weather for their day as Mackenzie and Steve made their vows to each other during their mountaintop ceremony overlooking the lake. Dinner was held in a gorgeous tent on the property, and everyone showed their dance moves to the music of the BearFight Band in the pinewood lodge after dinner.
So many of the photos from this wedding felt like iconic images from years past for some reason… from the black and white picture of the children on the dock to the emotional photo of the bride dancing with her father during the reception, something about these pictures just feels like this wedding could have been set in 1964!
Some of our favorite details about this wedding were the awesome mason jar candle chandeliers that were hung around the lodge porch… as one guest put it, “Pinterest works”. ;) We also loved Mackenzie’s unique idea for a practical gift for her bridesmaids–she gave everyone simple clutches with a tag inside saying “Thank you for being my bridesmaid”, and the date of their wedding. So sweet! In keeping with a lakeside theme, we loved the idea to string up escort cards between two canoe paddles outside of the tent too. Huge thanks to Melanie with Blissful Beginnings – Wedding and Event Design for making the day flow seamlessly! If anyone out there is looking for a fantastic coordinator, this woman is it!
