Rustic Backyard Summer Wedding in Northfield, NH – Cait & Armand
As wedding photographers specializing in rustic and outdoor weddings, Cait and Armand’s big day was right up our alley. These two had an outdoor ceremony in Northfield, NH overlooking the White Mountains with their reception in a gorgeous vintage style sailcloth tent. They incorporated so many unique DIY elements into their day, but I think our favorite was the antique dresser, upcycled into a guest escort card table, with one drawer overflowing with planted flowers! Vintage wooden crates offered mason jars to guests, who could tie their wooden escort tag onto the handle and use the same mug all night. Environmentally friendly and adorable.
At the entrance to the sailcloth tent, string was woven around poles with strips of vintage fabric tied around the string… creating a very handmade welcome for guests who were flocking to the tent during the cocktail hour for contra dancing! Jacqueline and Dudley Laufman with Two Fiddles were hosting the dance and were definitely an entertaining duo. We have never seen so many people laughing, confused, and moving so fast in all of our experience shooting weddings. :)
Heartfelt toasts and a wonderful dinner followed the line dancing, and then the band Freestyle kicked things into action with some fantastic music and a spirited rendition of Blurred Lines on the dance floor.
Despite a little rain early on, Cait and Armand’s big day turned into a picture-perfect wedding… and we could have stayed all night! Congratulations to these two and we wish the the best in all of their future adventures together! To see all of the pictures from this wedding, please visit our 2015 Client Page!
