When Nina and Tom first contacted us about photographing their September wedding at the Inn at the Round Barn Farm in Vermont, we were instantly excited. Not only was this a venue that we have wanted to see in person for (literally) years, but Nina had all kinds of crafty DIY ideas that sounded right up our alley! Some of our favorite things about this wedding included handing out pashmina scarves to guests before the ceremony, using a toddler-sized Radio Flyer wagon to transport the 11-month-old flower girl down the aisle, and the gorgeous variety of gold and sparkly bridesmaid dresses!
The inside of the Round Barn is so unique and visually stunning in itself. Creative Muse Floral Design did a fantastic job of adding a bit more color to this historic Vermont barn wedding venue by creating autumn-inspired floral centerpieces and bouquets for the day. Ww loved the all the extra touches, including pheasant feathers!
Vermont Vintage Rentals also added flair to the barn, and brought in some gorgeous vintage furniture for the candy table and seating areas around the barn. All of the vases for centerpiece flowers were handmade by Nina (who is a talented potter), and she also sculpted the bride and groom birdie pie toppers. Another favorite DIY detail from this wedding was the super cool paper hearts mobile Nina made by using antique quilting rings and a heart paper press. So many sweet and romantic details at this wedding!
We should also mention that Nina is a wedding photographer! We were so incredibly flattered and humbled to be asked by another talented photographer to document their wedding. We can’t express how honored we were to tell the story of this couple’s wedding day, and we wish them the best of luck with all of their future adventures in sunny California!
