One Barn Farm Wedding in Central PA – Meg & Christian
Although we have driven through Pennsylvania countless times, this was our first wedding in this beautiful area. With picturesque rolling green hills with red barns dotting the horizon, this was a stunning backdrop for Meg and Christian’s wedding! These two met while attending Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA. It made perfect sense to have their wedding at the Rooke Chapel on campus and their reception at One Barn Farm just down the road in Mifflinburg.
This was our second Coughlan family wedding, so we knew we were in for a good time! Scroll down to see our favorites from the day and keep an eye out next week for the full gallery!

More about this One Barn Farm wedding:
When Meg first reached out to us about photographing her wedding in central PA, we were instantly excited. We photographed her sister Kelley’s 1824 House wedding two years ago, and this family knows how to throw a party! After a ceremony exit in a sea of bubbles, and everyone headed to the reception at One Barn Farm. This is a new wedding venue in the country, and it was beautiful. Guests were escorted into the tent in second line parade style, led by the Love Revival Orchestra (also our new favorite band). If Max and I could get married all over again, I would most definitely have a marching band parade us into the reception. This was the most joyful and festive reception entrance EVER.
Cynthia, of Oleander Curated, created a magical space under the sailcloth tent. Cascading greenery and floral garlands gave the space a serious woodsy charm. Handmade calligraphy geodes were used as escort cards at the head table. After dinner began, Meg’s sisters dove into a sort of speech / performance toast in true Coughlan fashion. They went with the unique idea to share a “slam poetry” piece about Meg and Christian. They were backed up by the groomsmen wearing blond wigs and speedo outfits as a nod to Christian’s style on the swim team. The look on Christian’s face during the speech was priceless.
After dinner, the wild dancing began, and it really seemed like almost everyone squeezed onto the dance floor. The band played some classics, but then went into a musical montage of classic early nineties songs. From Shoop to Gin n Juice, I literally couldn’t help myself from dancing… my inner 17 year old self was loving it!
