North Shore Wedding Photographers – Iris & Chris
We had the best time at Iris and Chris’ coastal summer wedding at the Crane Estate. As north shore wedding photographers, we have documented countless weddings in the area, but the Crane Estate is one of the most majestic. With rolling green hills that lead to the ocean and gardens that feel like you are stepping back in time, this venue has it all.
Iris and Chris had their ceremony at the St. Mary-Annunciation Church in Danvers. One of my favorite photos from the entire day was the look on Chris’ face as he watched Iris walk down the aisle. After the ceremony, Chris’ brother opened a bottle of champagne for the newlyweds. Which brings me to my second favorite photo of the day. The champagne cork went flying, and champagne sprayed everyone! The looks on people’s faces as bubbly droplets of champagne went in every direction was priceless.

North shore wedding photographers share more about Iris and Chris’ wedding:
When I first met with Iris and Chris, we instantly bonded over birds. Seriously. Chris is an avid bird watcher, and I have an undergraduate degree focusing on ornithology. It didn’t take us much time to launch into recent sightings and rare bird alerts! Getting married amidst the salt pond marshes with tons of shorebirds overhead seemed like the perfect place for this happy couple to celebrate.
After their church ceremony in Danvers, guests were invited back to the Crane Estate for cocktails, dinner and dancing. Guests were blown away (almost literally, as a shortly-lived wild storm came over the shore!) by the stunning mansion and ocean views. When the storm passed, everyone ventured out to the great lawn. A giant “Connect Four” game kept kids entertained while guests enjoyed custom cocktails and one of the best sunsets we’ve ever seen at this venue. We were so happy that Iris and Chris were up for doing a few more portraits under such a magnificent sky!
To kick off the dancing, Chris stood up and sang Kenny Rogers’ song, “The Gambler”. To say he was a complete natural up on stage would be an understatement. He was incredible. Everyone sang the chorus along with him and it was such an incredible way to bring everyone in the room together in song. The band Bearfight took over to start the dance party.
This wedding was amazing from start to finish, and I really didn’t want to have to leave (especially when the band launched into James’ “Laid” song). Congrats to Iris and Chris… we wish you all of the best in your adventures and hope you had a great time in Hawaii!
