Emily & Evan’s Natural Wychmere Wedding on Cape Cod
Emily and Evan’s natural Wychmere wedding on Cape Cod was simply beautiful. With bright and colorful details, this modern venue was the perfect spot for a coastal spring wedding. Even with a misty forecast, nothing could stop these two from smiling. Although they had planned for an outdoor ceremony, the inclement weather meant tying the knot indoors. Luckily, the Wychmere has an incredible indoor ceremony space. Huge windows brought in tons of natural light and guests could still have ocean views during the vows!
More details from this romantic wedding day below the photos, and congratulations to Emily and Evan and all of their future adventures in life together!
As documentary wedding photographers, there are three things that we can’t get enough of–emotions, natural light and color. This Cape Cod wedding was overflowing with all three, and we were so happy to capture it all! From Emily’s sparkle wedding dress to the stunning spring wedding bouquets by New England Gardens, this wedding reminded us of a spread from Martha Stewart Magazine. Emily and Evan took over a year to plan their relaxed Cape Cod wedding, making the month before the wedding a lot less stressful!
After getting ready for the day at the Wychmere Beach Club, Emily and Evan had their first look on the dock behind the Wychmere. Wedding party portraits followed, and we loved the unique idea of varying shades of green bridesmaid dresses! We see so many different decor ideas for beachy weddings, and loved all of the handmade colorful details of this wedding! Emily’s mom made the fabric table runners, colorful cloth napkins and wooden table numbers. Her aunt drew the signs and custom bride and groom coloring pages. Every place setting even had a hand drawn “How to eat a lobster” card for guests who were unsure about how a traditional clambake goes down. The “Treat Yo Self” sign (Parks and Rec anyone?) was also a hilarious touch.
After dinner, DJ Scott turned up the music and guests got wild on the dance floor. We even lucked out with Evan doing the “worm”! Emily and Evan snuck away for a few minutes to walk along nearby Merkel beach for some twilight portraits and we were reminded of just how gorgeous Cape Cod weddings can be. Thanks to Emily and Evan for trusting us to document the memories from their wedding day!
