When Elaine and Josh first inquired with us about wedding photography for their rustic fall wedding ceremony at the Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge, MA, we weren’t sure what sort of vibe they were going for… with their chosen venue being a cemetery, but it turns out they just wanted to say “I do” in a space filled with nature and fall colors, and Mount Auburn was the perfect place.
The Mount Auburn Cemetery was created in 1831, and was one of the first “rural cemeteries” in the country. Today it’s known as one of the best birding areas near Boston (notice the red-tailed hawk we were able to practically kiss!) and contains hundreds of varieties of tree species. This venue was perfect for Elaine and Josh who share a true love of the outdoors, and birdwatching! After their ceremony, a rustic reception was held at Habitat, an Audubon Society educational facility in Belmont.
Congrats to this happy couple, we were honored to be part of your big day! The full gallery from your wedding will be up by 11/16, so please check back!
