Julia and Sam’s Moraine Farm wedding was located on the picturesque north shore of Massachusetts in the town of Beverly. Designed by Frederick Law Olmsted in 1880, this property always reminds us of the Secret Garden movie! It’s hard to believe this venue is just a 30 minute drive from Boston. Situated on 125 acres, this venue feels incredibly private. It is teeming with overgrown gardens and moss-covered rock walls, and every time we photograph a wedding here we discover new and beautiful spots for photos.

More about this Moraine Farm wedding:
Julia and Sam had their wedding ceremony at the St. Mary Star of the Sea church in Beverly. After saying their vows, guests were invited back to the Estate at Moraine Farm for dinner and dancing.
We spent some time exploring the tea garden and stone steps for portraits and then Julia and Sam joined the cocktail hour. Cocktail hour at Moraine is almost always held on the winding patio behind the estate. As photographers, we live for locations like this. With a sweeping stone wall and a lakeside backdrop overlooking Lake Wenham, you can’t take a bad photo!
A tented reception followed the cocktail hour, and we loved the canopy of twinkle lights leading guests to the tent. After a delicious dinner catered by the talented crew at Fireside, DJ Sam with TSG Weddings got the music going. One of our favorite parts of the night happened when we were all surprised by a random dog who ran into the tent! DJ Sam didn’t miss a beat and played “Who Let the Dogs Out” while guests tried to (without success) coral this jovial pooch!
We love photographing weddings in New England. Nearly every weekend we are treated to diverse landscapes and scenic beauty that is awe inspiring. We are so lucky to have some of the most trusting couples in the world hire us to document such an important day in their lives. Thanks to Julia and Sam for inviting us to their big day and letting us document the story of their wedding day!
