Kayla & Dave’s Linden Place Fall Wedding in Bristol, RI
We had so much fun at Kayla and Dave’s Linden Place wedding in Bristol, RI. This historic mansion turned wedding venue was the perfect place for Kayla and Dave to tie the knot (anyone who knows Kayla knows how much she loves antiques!). Built in 1810, Linden Place is a historical landmark in Bristol. All of the furniture is original and the rooms with decor have been preserved. Walking around Linden Place feels like a step back in time!
Kayla and Dave also chose a location filled with antiques for their Hudson Valley engagement session in Cold Spring, NY. If you haven’t visited Cold Spring yet, put it on your list! It’s the coolest spot along the Hudson River with so many antique shops and quaint restaurants… definitely a hidden gem.
Fall weddings are always popular in New England and Linden Place had a gorgeous outdoor ceremony space for this September wedding. Set in a sculpture garden, the chuppah covered in flowers was a beautiful ceremony backdrop. Scroll down for all of our favorite photos from this wedding, and congrats to Kayla and Dave!
More about this Linden Place wedding…
Although we have photographed several weddings around Bristol, RI, this was our first Linden Place wedding. There were so many historical details inside of this gorgeous estate, it was hard not to document everything we saw! Kayla and her bridesmaids prepared for the day in a beautiful room on the second floor. The vintage bathroom was filled with natural light and made the perfect backdrop for Kayla spying on guests as they arrived!
After an outdoor ceremony in the courtyard sculpture garden, guests were invited into the ballroom for dinner and dancing. During the speeches, one of Kayla’s best friends had a spontaneous chair break, and he ended up on the floor in disbelief. Of course, I had to go into photojournalist mode to document the ensuing hilarity. Kayla and Dave started off the dance party with the hora (one of our absolute favorite Jewish wedding traditions), followed by lots of wild dancing and limbo action.
We loved spending the day with Kayla and Dave, but it was also great to hang with Kayla’s family again. We photographed Kayla’s sister’s NH camp wedding in 2012 and were so excited to meet their latest family addition, the adorable Vera May!
Thanks to Kayla and Dave for trusting us to document their beautiful and unique wedding in Rhode Island!
