Kennebunkport Wedding at Hidden Pond Resort

Francine and Greg’s Kennebunkport wedding at Hidden Pond Resort was held on a beautiful fall day in September. Although we have spent lots of time along the coast of Maine, this was our first time at this woodsy wedding venue.

This resort felt like a step back in time. There is a beautiful vintage car aptly named “Bessie” that greets you upon arrival at this cozy luxury resort. Amazing cottages and bungalows are were neatly tucked into the pine and birch forests as well. There is even a spa and amazing restaurant on site!

More about Francine and Greg’s Maine wedding:

When we found out that Francine and Greg’s wedding was going to be in Kennebunkport, we knew this would be a great day. Maine weddings always seem to have a relaxed vibe that is right up our alley. :)

Paula with Marrero Events did a wonderful job coordinating this wedding weekend. We loved all of the coastal decor ideas! The escort card table was made up of mussel shells with each guest’s name and table number carefully drawn on. Francine’s father made the super cool Maine animal woodcut table numbers. Trailing greenery brought so much life into the reception tent!

One of our favorite things at this wedding was the classic Maine raw bar that was offered during the cocktail hour. We’ve seen a lot of raw bars at weddings, but this one was the ULTIMATE. There were clams, oysters, shrimp, lobster tails and claws. It was at true Maine masterpiece.

Francine and Greg personalized their wedding with a first dance that took months of lessons to perfect! Even the parent dances had their own unique flare with Francine and her father dancing to “Be Our Guest” from Beauty and the Beast. Greg and his mother went the tropical route with their dance to the Beach Boys “Kokomo” while wearing some island attire!

When we first chatted with Francine and Greg they had mentioned that the fun of the dancing was super important to them. Dancing photos are definitely one our favorite things to document, but this wedding took things to a whole new level! Along with the epic first dance and parent dances, there was also an amazing Hora as well as an incredible dance off later in the evening!

Congratulations to Francine and Greg on a beautiful wedding and so many adventures ahead!
