Karen & Evan – Liberty Barn – Hudson Valley Wedding Photographer
Karen and Evan had a beautiful spring day for their wedding at the Barn at Liberty Farms. These two smiled incessantly the entire day… making our job too easy! Being a Hudson Valley wedding photographer means that we always have incredible backdrops for photos. From white horse fences to rolling green fields, photo opportunities abound at this venue. The red reception barn is actually a converted horse barn!
This was our first wedding of the season this year and thanks to A Charmed Affair, it was a great success! Scroll down to see all of our favorites from this Hudson Valley wedding, and check back for the full gallery in two weeks!
Hudson Valley Wedding Photographer – Details from the Day:
When Karen and Evan first reached out to us about photographing their rustic wedding, I knew we were a great fit. They were so laid back and just so excited to get married and have a party!
The Barn at Liberty Farms is such a unique venue. Originally a thoroughbred stallion barn, it has been transformed into a luxury upstate wedding venue. The owners have kept the horse stalls in tact, and couples can use the space in so many different ways. Karen and Evan created a lounge space in one stall, and a beer pong game in another! One stall was used as an escort cards and guest favors space. We loved the custom hand painted globe, which served as a letters collection box.
Both Karen and Evan got ready for the wedding day at the venue. After a first look in the field, we made our way to to the hilltop. Overlooking organic farms and sprawling green hills, we found the perfect backdrop for portraits of this happy bride and groom.
Karen and Evan had an outdoor ceremony behind the barn with a rustic birch wood arbor. After the vows, they were showered in rose petals as they exited the ceremony! Props to all of these wedding guests who remembered to toss their petals!
Dinner and dancing followed in the barn. One of our favorite moments at the reception was when a huge group of guys sang to Karen. She was totally surprised, and it was hilarious to photograph! As the moon rose over the farm, a bonfire was lit and guests enjoyed smores by the fire.
Congrats to Karen and Evan… we hope you are having a wonderful time diving in Belize!
