Hudson Valley Engagement Photos in Cold Spring – Kayla & Dave
Here are a few favorite photos from this Hudson Valley engagement session in Cold Spring, NY. When Kayla first suggested this spot, I knew it would be beautiful. The Hudson Valley has a sort of magical light, and we were lucky enough to catch some of it just before the sunset! This town is also special for Kayla and Dave, as they got engaged on the pavilion overlooking the Hudson River.
For folks living in New York City, this is also a perfect location for engagement photos. It’s a regular stop on the Metro-North, and a super walkable town. I loved seeing all of the folks hop off the train with luggage… walking to the little B&B’s around town. Something about it felt like stepping back in time. :)
If you haven’t been to Cold Spring, it’s flush with antique shops, unique restaurants and some stunning hiking spots. I had a great time exploring the area with these two happy people… whose wedding at the Linden Place Mansion in RI is fast approaching!
Natural and Candid Engagement Photography
Engagement sessions give us a chance to get to know our couples better, and help them get comfortable in front of the camera. We love finding new and exciting spots to travel to for engagement shoots! Our style of portrait photography is very candid-based. We like to have our couples hold hands and go for a walk while we trail behind and document the little moments. We often have folks just give each other a hug, or sit on a bench and talk to each other! So many people who see our photos and want to hire us as wedding photographers mention how much they love the “natural” look of our photography. Part of that natural vibe is just giving couples the freedom to be themselves!
