Grand Isle Lake House, VT – Ethereal Wedding Photography – Jen & Dan
Jen and Dan’s September wedding at the Grand Isle Lake House, just north of Burlington, VT was absolutely stunning. This large bed and breakfast style wedding venue was built in 1903, and has a massive wrap-around porch… which everyone was thankful for when mother nature decided to let a few rain showers loose right around ceremony time! These two lucked out with a venue that has the perfect “outdoor” rain plan for a ceremony, with a porch that was overflowing with natural light. As soon as Jen and Dan were pronounced husband and wife, the sun came out!
We took candid portraits of this happy couple on the shores of Lake Champlain, just a short walk from the Lake House, and the backdrop was spectacular. After wrapping up portraits, we joined the cocktail hour where tables lined the covered porch and had, in our humble opinion, some of the coolest centerpieces ever! Wildflowers were bunched into pewter and sterling vases, and vintage film cameras were set on stacks of antique books!
Katie’s favorite thing about this wedding – Being in a room full of girls who were equally confused by how best to apply makeup
