Sophia & Dylan’s Fall Wedding at the Temple Shir Tikva – Boston Area

Sophia and Dylan’s fall wedding was held in early November at the Temple Shir Tikva, just outside of Boston. This location was extra special, as Sophia’s parents were the first couple to ever be married there! Although there was some windy weather, we lucked out with tons of fall foliage for outdoor portraits of these two in Concord, MA. Sophia and Dylan couldn’t stop smiling throughout the day, making our job easy! Scroll down to see all of our favorites from this wedding…

More about this Boston Area Jewish Wedding:

We had initially planned to do the first look and wedding pictures at Minute Man National Historic Park, but with high winds and rain in the forecast we opted to do them in the backyard of Sophia’s childhood home. There’s always something so special when couples choose locations that have sentimental value on the wedding day! Luckily for us there was still plenty of color left on the trees and we used that as a beautiful backdrop for the photos! After a few portraits of Sophia and Dylan and the wedding party outside, we headed to the Temple Shir Tikva for the ketubah signing and the Jewish ceremony.

There were so many handmade details at this wedding and that helped make the decor truly unique. Sophia’s sister Olivia made the ceramic vases for the floral centerpieces. Her mother Sandra made the cake topper, ketubah, and the invitations. Sophia’s aunt and uncle made the colorful batik chuppah, which they also used their own wedding! That’s some serious creativity!

The hora is tops on our list as far as fun wedding traditions, it’s also just a blast to photograph. The hora at Sophia and Dylan’s wedding did not disappoint! The dance itself had to be at least 20 straight minutes of sheer joy…and maybe a little terror for the folks who were hoisted up on the chairs! :)

Congratulations to Sophia and Dylan, we had a wonderful time spending the day with you all!
