If you are looking for a rustic eco-friendly wedding venue where you will be taken care of like family, look no further than Bishop Farm, in Lisbon, NH. Eliza and Brent were lucky enough to stumble upon this gorgeous red barn venue (that even incorporates solar power!) nestled in the White Mountains. It was the perfect place for them to say I do. This wedding was overflowing with colorful flowers and gorgeous Anthropologie-style vintage details by the By Emily B. Event Design team. With antique dinner plates and milk glass centerpieces, we were in heaven.
We focus on natural light and candid style photography for most of our wedding coverage, and from behind our lenses, it was clear how absolutely happy Eliza and Brent were during our portrait session with them. They literally could not stop laughing and smiling. Even amidst some emotional tears during the ceremony, there were contagious outbursts of laughter from these two, and the wedding guests couldn’t help laughing right along with them.
One of my favorite things about this wedding was Eliza’s “green” idea to have guests use ball jars as drinking glasses, but write their names on them in a white paint marker so they could use the same glass all evening. Genius. I hope this unique idea catches on! We also loved the fact that they had a “doughnut cake” instead of the traditional wedding cake, and handed out temporary tattoos of their combined last names, “McWoo”.
We swooned over every last detail of this wedding and were truly honored to document the story of this couple’s wedding day! Congrats Eliza and Brent, we know you’ll go on to do amazing things together. ;)
