Intimate Backyard Wedding on a Lake in New Hampshire – Holly & Chris
Holly and Chris had one of the most intimate backyard weddings we’ve ever had the honor to photograph. With a small guest list (20 of their closest family and friends), these two tied the knot on a dock behind Holly’s childhood summer home on Sand Pond near Keene, NH. This wedding seemed like the perfect mix of vintage and English garden style decor, with a backdrop of lush moss and ferns everywhere and wild blackberries and blueberries along the edge of the property! Rustic picnic tables were covered in lace and old family photos, with trailing green ivy and pale pink peonies in antique pewter pitchers. It couldn’t have been any more picturesque!
Holly and Chris, who were actually engaged on one of the large rocks in the middle of the lake, decided to do a “false first look” photo, where they held hands around a corner of the house and talked, but still waited to see each other until the actual ceremony. It was such an emotional moment! From their Anthropologie style portrait session to the fireworks and sparklers at the end of the evening, this day was filled with some of the most intimate and magical moments we’ve seen.
Congrats to this happy couple, who will be heading to Grenada for a honeymoon later this fall!
