Topnotch Summer Wedding in Stowe, VT Film Style Photography

Charlotte and Matt hosted their summer wedding at the Topnotch Resort in Stowe, VT. We have photographed a Topnotch summer wedding before and it has quickly become one of our favorite rustic wedding venues. We loved that this bride and groom incorporated a little bit of Vermont into all of the details of the day. Handmade bridesmaid gift bags were filled with locally made products from the Green Mountain State. The birch-themed wedding cake seemed like a perfect fit for this wedding. We loved the bicycle cake topper, which also matched the graphics on the invitation!

After photographing dozens of weddings in Vermont, we have learned that the weather can be a bit unpredictable. After a very dark and cloudy morning, the sun came out during Charlotte and Matt’s outdoor meadow ceremony. It was obvious that luck was on their side!

Charlotte and Matt said their “I do’s” while under a beautiful chuppa covered in flowers. Crafted out of birch wood and decorated with white roses and baby’s breath, it was a beautiful backdrop for this wedding. Matt’s sister-in-law officiated the ceremony (her first ever) and she was a natural! Everything came together seamlessly.

We always enjoy capturing great candid moments of wedding guests on the dance floor, but I have to say, the traditional Hora dance is our favorite. Hoisting the bride and groom up on chairs in the middle of a spinning frenzy of people just makes for fantastic photos. Charlotte and Matt’s Hora dance did not disappoint!

We had such a blast spending the day at the Topnotch Resort with these two. We wish them the best of luck in their future adventures and hope they enjoy the photos for decades to come! :)
