Featured: Nora and Chadd on the Hamptons WellWed Blog!

We were super excited when the editors over at WellWed magazine contacted us about publishing Nora and Chadd’s Long Island beach wedding on their blog! And they chose to lead with one of my FAVORITE storytelling pictures… I snapped the photo below after Nora had her hair and makeup done at the Adde K. Salon in “downtown” Point Lookout, and was on her way back to her parent’s home to finish getting ready. A barefoot bride with a bicycle?  I was born to photograph just that!  :)  Shooting oceanside weddings is always fun… and this vintage wedding in Nora’s hometown was gorgeous. If I had my choice to shoot your wedding or the Superbowl, I’d choose your wedding.

Watching the Superbowl game tonight brought back memories of my former life as a newspaper photographer, and what it feels like to be on the field during such a massive event. I’ll admit, getting to photograph Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones was definitely a thrill, but there are pros and cons to all walks of life.  I’ll always love community journalism and the chance to document those larger than life events, but honestly, I’m happier now than I’ve ever been. And I’m still documenting larger than life events for our clients every weekend.  :)
