As photographers, I don’t think we could have chosen a more picturesque destination than California’s Highway 1 for our off-season vacation. We drove from Los Angeles to San Francisco, and I think we pulled over at every possible place along the coast to take in the scenery. Our favorite spot was the Treebones Resort in Big Sur, where we stayed in a yurt and stargazed from our bed! We hiked through Lime Kiln State Park and spent most of our time looking up to photograph the towering redwood trees above us.
